Invitation to APASL COVID-19 Webinar

This E-mail is the Invitation of the next APASL Webinar. [Complimentary]

Dear Colleagues,

“We need hope but not false hope”

NEVER in the history of mankind should we be more united to confront a common deadly enemy-Covid-19. To win this war for human race, we need knowledge from at all fronts, be united for critical thinking and there should be no room for finger-pointing. Without immunity and any highly effective treatment, we can only anticipate more casualties directly or indirectly from COVID-19. So far, tremendous effort has been exercised to control new human transmission by social isolation and quarantine. However, this can only “flatten but not to eliminate the curve”. The cost of these measures is also tremendous making life. especially in the lower social sector, intolerable. We need to figure out a better solution to prevent and to treat COVID-19, as it is unlikely to go away shortly. On the other hand, we also need to have people back to work or to schooling safely. To this end, we have organized a series of webinar with experts in various field to enlightened us the most recent Asia-Pacific data in epidemiology, diagnostic test, treatment and measures to control infection transmission and fatality rate. Our next upcoming APASL COVID-19 Webinar will be conducted on:

"APCOLIS" STUDY

("APASL COVID Liver Injury Spectrum")

Dear colleague

During this pandemic, the hepatology community is concerned whether their chronic liver disease/cirrhosis patients who get infected with COVID-19, do decompensate or not.

To study the Liver Injury due to COVID-19 infection, we need to record the course and outcome of each of such patients.

We have prepared a brief survey to address this under the Task Force of APASL. If you would like to share your individual patient data, please use the monkey survey.

Each patient data needs to be filled separately, and would take just about 5 minutes.

The manuscript policy will be as per international norms.

Do join the “APCOLIS STUDY” of APASL using this web-link
